Privacy Notice

How DLM Consulting Group Ltd collects, uses and protects the personal information of candidates and clients under UK GDPR.

Who we are

DLM Consulting Group Ltd (company no. 16626967, registered in England & Wales; registered office 36 Crawford Street, Eccles, Manchester, England, M30 9PQ) is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@dlmconsultinggroup.com.

What we collect

Information you give us or that is publicly available in a professional context, including your name and contact details, CV and career history, current and expected compensation, notice period, location and relocation preferences, interview feedback, references you provide, and notes from our conversations. We do not ask for special category data (such as health or ethnicity) unless you choose to share it, for example to request adjustments in an interview process.

Where it comes from

Directly from you, from professional networking sites such as LinkedIn, from referrals by people who know you, and from clients who give us feedback about your applications.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

  • Finding and discussing suitable roles with you, and keeping in touch about future opportunities: our legitimate interests in running a recruitment business, balanced against your interests. You can object at any time.
  • Introducing you to a client: we will never send your CV or details to a hiring company without your explicit agreement to that specific role.
  • Providing paid career consultations: performance of our contract with you.
  • Meeting legal obligations, such as record keeping, tax and, where relevant, right-to-work checks.

Who we share it with

Hiring clients, only with your consent as above. Trusted service providers who help us operate (for example email, cloud storage and recruitment software), who may only use your data on our instructions. Professional advisers and authorities where required by law. We never sell your data.

Clients and prospective clients

If you contact us about hiring, for example through our Start a Search form, we use your name, job title, company and contact details to respond to your enquiry and manage our working relationship. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and developing our business. We keep these records for as long as we are working together and for up to six years afterwards for legal and accounting purposes.

International transfers

Because we recruit across the UK, Ireland and the US, your data may be shared with clients or service providers outside the UK. Where a country does not have a UK adequacy decision, we use approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep candidate records for up to two years from our last meaningful contact with you, after which they are deleted or anonymised unless you ask us to keep them. Records linked to a placement or paid consultation are kept for up to six years to meet legal and accounting requirements.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to how we use it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@dlmconsultinggroup.com. We will respond within one month. We do not make decisions about you using solely automated processing.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
